Does the template include sector supplements? Loading...
Sector supplements are not included in the Standard and Premium packs of G4 Template. We will work on it depending on the needs of our users so if you'd like to use a specific sector supplement, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
GRI has published ten Sector Supplements and the content of them is being reviewed for use with G4, and re-titled as GRI Sector Disclosures. You can consult them in the GRI website https://www.globalreporting.org/reporting/sectorguidance/Pages/default.aspx.
Sector supplements published up to date (December 2013) are available for the following sectors: Airport Operators, Construction and Real Estate, Electric Utilities, Event Organizers, Financial Services (adapted to G4), Food Processing, Media , Mining and Metals (adapted to G4), NGO and Oil and Gas.
Note that GRI Sector Disclosures (Aspects) should be considered as part of the initial list of topics in the ‘Identification, prioritization and validation of aspects and topics’ step (section ‘Materiality'). GRI Sector Disclosures are a key component of the ‘in accordance’ criteria.
GRI has also released a publication which provides insight into what key industry stakeholders currently see as the material topics to be included in a report per business activity group. This can help reporting organizations in defining report content. The publication ‘Sustainability Topics for Sectors. What do stakeholders want to know?’ can be downloaded in https://www.globalreporting.org/resourcelibrary/sustainability-topics.pdf.
